Charleston Parent Coach advocates Traditional Parenting for Modern Parents.
We
empower parents to establish authority in the family and convey leadership.
We teach parents how to gain respect and maintain leadership in their homes. Children develop self-respect and learn compassion for others under effective leadership and unconditional love.
During parent coaching, you will learn how to
raise children who are more self sufficient, secure, and ready to face
life's challenges. Isn't that what we all hope for our children?
What is Leadership Parenting?
Leadership Parenting, as defined by author John Rosemond*, is grounded in the traditional principles of child rearing that were used by our grandparents and great grandparents. Leadership Parenting is based on the idea that child rearing, or parenting, is a leadership activity and that the principles that characterize effective leadership in a corporation, educational institution, or agency also characterize effective parenting.
*Ashley and Margaret were
personally trained by John Rosemond, psychologist, author and founder of The Rosemond Leadership Parenting Institute. You can find their bios on his popular parenting website www.rosemond.com.
So, what makes a good leader? Effective leaders...
-
Make unpopular decisions when necessary and stay the course, even when those decisions do not make those they are leading particularly happy.
- Delegate responsibility in order to challenge the capabilities of those they lead. They motivate through positive coaching and encouragement, and when necessary through discipline.
- Establish boundaries between themselves and those they lead.
- Use an economy of words and do not justify their decisions.
- Have a clear positive vision for those they lead, and a plan of action for fulfilling that vision.
